LIVESHOW soon!

Soon TRUST will be live on Belgian television. Feel free to vote with the VTM-app.
As all siblings will watch the show live in the studio we made them some jumpers.
Charlie is the name.
This is her favorite version of the jumper and will most probably be the one she will wear on D-day.

This one she choose to wear on the airplane. Inspiration came from her.

As the previous two are so awesome this one will not make the luggage this trip but I am sure we will wear it on plenty of other occasions.

This one made us least happy of all four.

THE outfit

All of you already figured out that our Belgium's Got Talent outfit was homemade.

The white lycra came from -where else- Tahir, but the special stretch fabrics, namely the stretch opaque mat skin color lycra and stretch knit flower fabric was bought online.

The Belgian colors were added on the white fabric with a zigzag stitch, at the back it is finished with a blind zipper. We did not use vlieseline as the stretchversion was out of stock in the UAE and there was no time left to order online.

Last but not least thank you for all your amazing messages on several social media about our performance! We will know this weekend if we go to the liveshows. Although we got 4 'yesses' from the judges we have to wait for the final decision they will make in the call back round.

Online Shopping

A Blog-photo-album, instagram magnets, a viewmaster; these items were planned to order months ago. Meanwhile the order photo-products have arrived and I am super excited about the results.
Especially the viewmaster gets a 'perfect 10' as the perfect gift.

We made the fabric-covered-box ourselves to make it even more personalised. Inside the box we added a pocket to put extra reels.

These are the pictures that can be admired with the viewmaster.

And this is how it looks when you really look through the viewmaster.

Image 3D has a splendid service. I never received an online order so fast in our mailbox! Apparently they also liked our reels as we are mentioned on their blog!

The instagram magnets have not yet arrived but we did receive two tiny little booklets with instagram stickers, they are very cute and the kids love the stickers with themselves pictured on it.

Also the blog-photo-albums -we made one for each year that we are online- are really gorgeous. It took some time to get them to the Middle East but when they finally got here, we were so happy with the result that the long waiting time didn't matter anymore.
It is really nice to be able to look through our blog in paper version!

I love online shopping!

Forgotten Jewels #10

Homemade items and food are even better when wrapped or stored in a nice way. I couldn't resist when I saw these jamlabels on Pinterest.

This is really a forgotten jewel as the jam and chutney dates back from end 2012/beginning 2013. Luckily we finished the content ages ago!

Photoboot time...

The rest of the circus has also started. Some newspaper articles and next week ... 'Dag Allemaal'.

Don't forget to like our facebook page and for our hardcore sewing fans, the outfit is homemade. More detailed pictures to follow.

In need of a break

I need a break! The sun is there, the chairs are present, I only lack time! Note-to-self: sit in these chairs and do nothing... ASAP.

We sandpapered these old chairs and waxed them before making a new, vintage fabric cover.

We bought the fabric in Belgium this summer @ Point of View - you have to love this place.

Forgotten Jewels #9

We still have to show you how we thanked Valeria Baigacheva -our amazing silk teacher- last school year. Louka noticed while getting ready for our performances that Valeria could do with a new set of make-up bags, so we decided to make this our 2014 gift.

We did not really use a pattern; we just studied some existing make-up bags we own, until we came to these results. Inside the bags there are some separations to keep the bags a little organized.

The logo of Artistic Performers could not be lacking. We heat pressed it on in a white-glittery vinyl.

As we did earlier for the kids gymnastics coaches we made Valeria a small aerial artist in a box.

Louka made the bun in the hair and I made the metal and fabric construction. In the background we glued some pictures of Louka and myself at practice the past year.

We also made a stamp –my first one ever!- to decorate a little card.

Meanwhile June is approaching fast so we will have to invent another thank you gift! HELP!
